Surveys Main Page

After you log in to the system, the home page shall be displayed. This page lists all created surveys in the system, where for each one the Name, Created On (Creation Date), Last Modified, and Status are displayed. The widget component above the list shows the count of surveys in the system based on their statuses. Click any of the widget components to filter the list based on the selected status. By default, the system shows All surveys.

Through this page, you can add new surveys, view, copy and delete existing ones, in addition to other actions as detailed below.

Create Survey

To create a new survey, follow these steps:

  1. Click (Add New Survey) button; a new survey page is displayed.
  2. Enter the survey name in “Survey Name” field.
  3. Select the default survey language from the “Default Survey Language” drop-down menu. You can select between Arabic, English, and Urdu, and the default selection is English.
  4. Select the strict versioning option from the “Strict Versioning” drop-down menu. You can select between two options: Yes,  Changes will not be reflected on published instances, or No, Changes will be reflected on published instances. The default selection is “Yes, Changes will not be reflected on published instances”.
  5. Add the users who you want to grant permissions to in the “User Permissions” section by following these steps:
    • Enter the username in the designated field; the matching usernames will be displayed.
    • Click the (Add) button next to the required username.
    • Click the (Grant) button to select the permission you want to grant for the selected user. You can select between: Read, Write, Delete, and Owner. The added users will be listed under the User Permissions section where you can edit the permission of any of them or delete it by clicking the () icon next to it.
  6. Add the ARIS Integration model from the ARIS model drop-down list.
  7. Click (Start Building Survey!) button to move to the next step or (Cancel) to discard the changes and close the page.

Search Surveys

You can search for a specific survey by typing its name or part of it in the “Search” field; the surveys list will be automatically updated to show the matching surveys while you are typing.

Sort Surveys

You can sort the surveys list either in descending or ascending way using the arrows () Next to each column.

Copy Surveys

You can copy an existing survey to create a new one with the same or similar specifications by following these steps:

  1. Click the () Icon next to the required survey; the Copy Survey page is displayed with the same details as the copied one.
  2. Enter the changes you want to make to any of the displayed information.
  3. Click (Start Building Survey) to move to the next step, or (Cancel) to discard the changes and close the page.

Delete Surveys

You can delete one or more surveys as follows:

  1. Click the () icon next to the required survey; a confirmation dialog is displayed.
  2. Click (Delete Survey) to confirm the delete process, or (Cancel) to discard the delete process and close the dialog.
  1. Select the required surveys’ checkboxes.
  2. Click the arrow next to the main checkbox (), then click (Delete Surveys) from the drop-down menu; a confirmation dialog is displayed.
  3. Click (Delete Survey) to confirm the delete process, or (Cancel) to discard the delete process and close the dialog.

Note that you need to have permission to delete the surveys in order to have the (Delete Surveys) option available for you. Also, if no surveys are selected, the (Delete Surveys) option will be disabled.

Build Surveys

When you click the (Start Building Survey) button, the Edit Survey page is displayed. Through this page, you can design the survey, add the questions you want, and publish it in addition to other actions each in its designated tab as detailed below.

This page shows the different tabs you can use to design and publish your survey, by default the Design tab is opened. It also shows the summary of the survey that includes the Version, Status, Created On, Last Modified, the number of questions, Default Language, and Strict Versioning.
