Questions Actions
You can perform the following actions for the questions after creating them.
Edit Question
To modify a certain question, follow these steps:
- Click the (
) icon that appears when you hover over the required question; the question is displayed in edit mode.
- Enter the changes you want to make to any of the displayed information.
- Click (Save) to save the changes or (Cancel) to discard the changes and close the dialog.
When editing the question, a modified label appears at the question and next to the design tab.
Copy Question
To copy a previously created question in the survey, follow these steps:
- Click the (
) icon that appears when you hover over the question; the copied question is displayed in edit mode.
- Enter the changes you want to make to any of the displayed information.
- Click (Save) to save the changes or (Cancel) to discard the changes and close the dialog.
To copy a question from another survey, follow these steps:
- Click the (Copy Existing) button at the top of the page; a dialog with a search field is displayed.
- Search for the question you want to copy by typing its text or part of it; the matching questions will be listed.
- Select the required question from the list; the question is displayed in edit mode.
- Enter the changes you want to make to any of the displayed information.
- Click (Save) to save the changes or (Cancel) to discard the changes and close the dialog.
Delete Question
To delete a question from the survey, follow these steps:
- Click the (
) icon that appears when you hover over the question; a confirmation dialog is displayed.
- Click (Delete Question) to confirm the delete process or (Cancel) to discard the process and close the dialog.
Questions Order
This button
appears at the top of the page when the user adds at least two questions. When clicked, a side panel will be displayed showing the added questions. Users can reorder the questions through this panel using the arrows next to each question or using the drag and drop way if the “Enable to arrange using drag and drop” toggle is enabled.
Questions Logic
This button
appears at the top of the page when the user adds at least two questions to the survey. When clicked, a side panel will be displayed to create logic rules.
To create a question logic for the survey, follow these steps:
- Click “Create New Rule”; a drop-down list with available questions is displayed.
- Select a question from the drop-down list, a new side panel is displayed with a condition section.
- Select a relation depending on the question type in the select an answer drop down list.
- In the second field, select one or more answers from the question answers.
- Select one of the questions available or “End Survey” from the “Go To” drop down list. The next question in the questions order is selected by default.
The user can create more than one condition for the same question by clicking on (Add Another Condition).
- The user can select a destination question or end survey from continue with section, if the number of questions in the “Go To” dropdown list is at least three.
- Note that the survey continues with the question selected from the “Go To” drop down list in the continue with section whether the above condition is fulfilled or not.
After the question condition is added the user can edit, delete, or add a new condition as below:
Edit Condition
To modify a condition, follow these steps:
- Click the (
) icon that appears next to the question in the questions logic side menu; the question condition is displayed in edit mode.
- Enter the changes you want to make to any of the displayed information.
- Click (Save) to save the changes or (Cancel) to discard the changes.
Delete Condition
To delete a condition from the question logic, follow these steps:
- Click the (
) icon that appears next to the question in the questions logic side menu; a confirmation dialog is displayed.
- Click (Yes) to confirm the delete process or (No) to discard the process and close the dialog.
Change Survey Status
Upon creation, the survey status is “Draft” by default and the preview, publish and results tabs will all be locked. When the user adds the first question the preview tab will be unlocked, and the status toggle switch appears at the top.
Users can change the survey status from “Draft” to “Complete” by clicking the toggle next to the status. When enabled, the Publish tab will be unlocked.
Note that when editing any tab, a “Modified” label appears next to the tab name.
